I am an art therapist based in Leeds, registered under the HCPC and a full member of the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT). I have an up to date Enhanced Disclose and Barring Service (DBS) check which is on the update service.
I graduated from the University of Roehampton with a Distinction in art psychotherapy in 2024, with a background in Psychology (BSc, University of Leeds, 2019).
I have worked across a vast range of mental health, crisis support, and bereavement support services across West Yorkshire and in the South of England. I have worked in third sector organisations, schools, and NHS inpatient psychiatric settings.
I set up A Held Space in 2021 to provide playful, accessible spaces for people to engage with art making and reap the mental health and well-being benefits. My ethos is 'art is for everybody'; no matter the skill level, everyone should be given the opportunity to experience the many benefits of shared creative expression.
As an art therapist, my priority is creating safety and containment in sessions, creating a space that aims to be non-judgmental, anti-oppressive, person-centred, and nurturing.
