I am an art therapist based in Leeds, registered under the HCPC and a full member of the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT). I have an up to date Enhanced Disclose and Barring Service (DBS) check which is on the update service, and am fully insured for sessional work. I also engage with monthly supervision with a clinical supervisor to support my work.
I graduated from the University of Roehampton with a Distinction in art psychotherapy in 2024, and come from a background in Psychology (BSc, University of Leeds, 2019).
My career in mental health has been vast. I have worked across a range of services including :
* mental health crisis support,
*suicide bereavement (postvention) services,
*child bereavement support services,
*women-focused in the community and inpatient psychiatric settings,
*supporting adults, children, young people, and couples in their homes, the community, schools, and colleges.
* across West Yorkshire and in the South of England
*third sector organisations, within the NHS, private healthcare companies, schools and with higher education providers.
As an art therapist, my priority is creating safety and containment in sessions, providing a space that aims to be non-judgmental, anti-oppressive, person-centred, and nurturing.
I take an integrative approach to support, drawing upon understandings from child development, psychoanlaytics, person-centred theory, mindfulness techniques, and trauma-informed approaches.
I very much work with the individual as a whole, unique person, aiming to understand them from their own frame of reference including their intersectional experiences across race, gender, sexuality, disability, and socioeconomic experiences.
My prices are negotiable depending on your needs, and are available by a sessional, half- or full- day rate. Get in touch with any questions or discuss more.
